This purchase is for a DVD of More Than Miles Across, a film capturing the 36th Race Across America 4-person team race.
Race Across America (RAAM) started in 1982 as purely a solo racer event. Ten years later relay teams were introduced and race fields grew quickly. Team racing opened the race to a much larger segment of the cycling/athletic world. The relay team format became increasingly popular as racers mixed athletic ability, strategy and team work. As race fields grew, RAAM became an increasingly popular platform from which riders and their support crew raised money for charitable causes. Over the past 25+ years team racing has become a huge part of RAAM and has produced some of the most exciting racing in the ultra world! More Than Miles follows a handful of 4-person relay teams in their quest to be the fastest racers across America.
