Refund policy (non-COVID-19 related):

Entries are non-transferrable.  No rollovers to 2022 will be allowed, no exceptions. Should you need to withdraw your entry, a 50 percent refund may be issued up until August 1 minus a $35 processing fee.  No refunds will be issued after August 1.  Additionally, there will be no refunds for Premium Parking or RV Parking.

COVID-19 Cancellation policy (New 2021 Entrants only):

While the Race Management Team has every intention of putting on this event, we recognize that the COVID-19 Pandemic may still be a factor in the fall, and could potentially impact the ability to host the race.  Should the City of Borrego Springs, San Diego County, the State of California, or other government agency override, withhold, or rescind the permit for the race due to COVID-19, we will be forced to cancel the event.  If this happens, racers who register in 2021 will be be given the choice of either receiving a refund of 75 percent of the standard entry fee or rolling their full entry over to the 2022 race.  Fees retained by the organization are required for overhead expenses and early deposits to secure race supplies.  We will continue to work closely with the City of Borrego Springs and San Diego County to monitor and assess the situation.  Any cancellation decision will be made no later than September 1st, 2022.


Additionally, during the event, it may be necessary to make modifications to ensure social distancing, which could include limiting the size of the race field, not allowing support crew, staggered start times, modifying the race course and/or pit layout, or other similar measures.  We will send out a notification should such modifications be required.
